Healthy Multicultural Snacks 07/09/2011 Hunter New England Health Multicultural Health Service All language groups Finger foods from 6 countries to include Vietnam, Korea, Iran, Croatia, Belgium, Zimbabwe will be offered to hospital staff representatives ie members of Multicultural Access Committee and VIPs for tasting. They will then vote on the best for taste and the best for nutrition. They will only have info on recipe and number (not country) for each food item to maintain objectivity! Awards will be presented for the winning items. Photos of snacks and recipes & contact details for HNE MHS & NSW MHCS will be featured in a desk calendar available towards the end of the year. Healthy Eating with International Flavours 07/09/2011 Griffith City library Turkish, Indian (Punjabi) English Griffith City Library in conjunction with Griffith Settlement Services will be hosting a cooking demonstration within our library. Members from our local Indian and Turkish communities will be whipping up delicious, healthy, traditional recipes from fresh local produce as well as spices and flavours from their own native countries.
